This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal and business information when you use our platform at pharmashowroom.com.

By registering on or using PharmaShowRoom, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of information depending on how you use the platform:

Account & Identity Data

  • Full name, email address, and phone number
  • Business name, CAC registration number, and business address
  • Professional licence numbers (PCN for pharmacies, medical registration numbers for doctors and nurses)
  • Job title and professional role

Company & Product Data

  • Company profile information, logos, and marketing descriptions
  • Product listings including brand names, generic names, NAFDAC registration numbers, and product images
  • Medical sales representative details (name, photo, phone, territory) submitted by pharmaceutical companies
  • Price lists and quotation data

Transaction & Payment Data

  • Subscription plan selections and billing history
  • Payment reference numbers from Paystack and Flutterwave
  • Bank transfer confirmation details (where applicable)
  • Advertising campaign details and payments

Note: Full card or bank account numbers are never stored on our servers. Payment processing is handled entirely by Paystack and Flutterwave.

Usage & Browsing Data

  • Pages visited, products viewed, and search queries
  • Enquiries sent, quotation requests, and message history
  • Device type, browser, IP address, and approximate location
  • Time spent on the platform and interaction patterns

CPD & Training Data

  • Payment processing: Passing billing data securely to Paystack or Flutterwave to process subscription and advertising payments.
  • Legal compliance: Maintaining records required by Nigerian law and cooperating with lawful regulatory or law enforcement requests.
  • Security and fraud prevention: Detecting and preventing fake product listings, counterfeit drug submissions, and account misuse.

  • Payment processors: Paystack and Flutterwave receive the billing information necessary to process payments. They operate under their own privacy policies and are PCI-DSS compliant.
  • Between users (as intended): Company profiles, product listings, and medical sales representative contact cards are shared with other registered users (pharmacies, doctors, etc.) as the core function of the marketplace.
  • Service providers: We may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, or email delivery. These providers only access data necessary to perform their function and are contractually bound to protect it.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by a valid court order, government authority, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
  • Business transfer: If PharmaShowRoom is acquired or merged, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with notice provided to affected users.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the platform work and to improve your experience. The types of cookies we use are:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the platform to function (login sessions, language preference, cookie consent choice). These cannot be disabled.

  • Transaction and payment records: 7 years in line with Nigerian financial record-keeping requirements
  • Enquiry and messaging records: 3 years
  • CPD and training records: 5 years from certificate issuance
  • Analytics and usage logs: 12 months rolling

After the relevant retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure.
